AWARDS:
  1. Prof. D. P. Basu Memorial Award.
  2. Travel Award (CSI).
  3. Navin C Nanda Young Investigator Award.
CONDITIONS FOR AWARDS:
  1. Prof. D. P. Basu Memorial Award - Age of the candidate must be below 45 years.
  2. CSI Travel Award - This award is applicable, who are currently undergoing postgraduate training in Cardiology. Their age must be 35 years and below.
    These papers should have been accepted for presentation atthe annual conference of the CSI.
  3. Navin C Nanda Young Investigator Award-
    1. The award is applicable to Indian origin.
    2. This award pertains to the field of echocardiography and the session will be held during the Echocardiography CME progamme on the first day of the Annual Conference of Cardiological Society of India.
    3. The award is restricted to individuals below the age of 40 years or 5 years after eligible Qualification whichever is less.
    4. The paper submitted should be an original work that has neither been presented else where, nor sent for publication in any journal. This will be certified by the principal investigator and endorsed by the Head of the Department.
    5. The candidates should send a brief CV, including prizes, medals or other awards along with the papers.
    6. The candidate will not be eligible to compete for any other award in the same year.
    7. Five copies oft he full article should be submitted to Dr. Dhiman Kahali, President-Elect-CSI and Chairman, Scientific Committee of 77th Annual Conference of the Cardiological Society of India, 2025.
    8. The article must be submitted on or before 31st August, 2025.
    9. The selected speakers will be informed about their papers by 30th September, 2025.
    10. If no paper is found to be as per standard then no award will be given.

Candidates should apply for awards in the following proforma duly certified by the Head of the Department of the Institution. (I) Name, (ii) Age, (iii) Address,
(iv) Qualification, (v) Present Occupation , (vi) Appointment held, (vii) Prizes, Medals and other awards, (viii) Papers presented or published, (ix) Comments and counter signature of the Head of the Department of the institution anda certificate from the Head of the Dept-that the candidate is the principal worker in the Project.



For ALL AWARDS

The candidate should submit 6 (six) copies of full papers to Dr. Dhiman Kahali, President-Elect- CSI and Chairman, Scientific Committee of 77th Annual Conference of the Cardiological Society of India, 2025, on or before 30th June 2025 (except Navin C Nanda Young Investigator Award). The selected speakers will be informed in due course.



For CSI TRAVEL AWARD

The Award Committee will decide on the merits of the papers and the work done by the candidate for the selection of the Award. Submit it to Dr. Dhiman Kahali, President- Elect-CSI and Chairman, Scientific Committee of 77th Annual Conference of the Cardiological Society of India, 2025, on or before 30th June 2025 for acceptance but simultaneously they will also have to submit 4 copies of the full papers to the Award Committee. A candidate will not be eligible to compete for more than one award in the same year. If the papers are found substandard then NO AWARD WILL BE GIVEN.

Members willing to present their papers in the Scientific Sessions of the 77th Annual Conference of the Cardiological Society of India, 2025, from 4th to 7th December, 2025 at New Delhi, are requested to send the abstracts/papers to Dr. Dhiman Kahali, President-Elect - CSI and Chairman, Scientific Committee of 77th Annual Conference of the Cardiological Society of India, 2025, email us on: [email protected] on or before 30th June 2025.

ORATIONS:

The Hony. General Secretary invites recommendations on the following.

  1. Smt. Uma Rani Banerjea Memorial Oration (This Oration shall deal with any aspect of Ischemic Heart Disease)
  2. Dr. Amalananda Das Memorial Lecture
  3. Dr. V V Shah Oration (NSPHERE Oration)
  4. Dr. K K Datey Memorial Oration (Sponsored by Sun Pharmaceuticals)

    5. Recommendations should be sent to the Hony. General Secretary, Cardiological Society of India about the prospective candidate with six copies of bio-data and list of publications for consideration by the Special Committee dealing with Oration, Lectures, and Awards.

    The Minimum Criteria for Selection of Oration are as under:

    1. The nominee must be a member of CSI for a minimum continuous period of 5 years. He must be of Indian origin and have worked in India.
    2. Must have had Academic/Research experience of not less than 5 years.
    3. Must have a total of at least 15 publications in the field of Cardiology, in journals of repute and also Indian Journals.
  5. The proposer must submit a written proposal seconded by another member.
  6. The proposal must be accompanied by:
    1. Complete Bio-data.
    2. List of publications as the first author.
    3. List of publications as the joint author.
    4. Three of the best publications.
    5. Title/Titles of subjects on which the nominee is likely to speak. Copies of items 4 and 5 (4-5) must be submitted.
  7. The person who has received one oration will not be considered for any other oration, but can be considered after 5 years for another oration.
